Common, you
have thought it haven't you - where are these guys going, what are they up to, and are they really listening to a thud, thud, thud on their ipod, or is it really good intellectual music.
I for one, never quite understand the multitudes and varieties of people, and when they are all in a confined space on the train - are you brave enough to strike up a conversation?
I spoke to this guy called Simon today while on the Penzance to Paddington line - interesting looking chap - long grey hair, glasses and a 30 year old suit - he said he was off to hear what his estranged father had left him in his will, claiming that he expects to become a millionaire three times over by the time he returns back that evening. And yet he travelled in standard class. I just wish I'd been on the same return train!!!
While on the tube, heading towards Baker Street, I was surrounded by expensive suits and polished shoes, yet nobody would even give me eyecontact. Is it me or are the ones already in the money less talkative?
Anyway, I aim to share my somewhat varied train life to you my fellow traveller, and if I should sit next to you on a rainy journey to somewhere drab - talk to me and tell me Im not insane!
